AML (M0)

Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia with Minimal Differentitaion

  • Pancytopenia.

  • MPO, PAS, and NSE negative.

  • No particular chromosomeal abnormalities Negative for lymphoid antigens.

  • Hope for more than 20 % of the blasts to have one or more myeloid antigens (CD 13, CD 33, CD 11b, CD 34, HLA-DR (aids in diagnosis).

  • Constitutes less than 5 % of myeloid leukemias.

 

PROGNOSIS

Poor due to poor response to chemotherapy
