C. Paige Vickery

Ms. Vickery is currently the musical director of the Boulder Youth
Symphony and the Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra. She also serves
as Associate Conductor/Artistic Producer of the Denver Brass. She
was the Musical Director/Conductor of the Pikes Peak Philharmonic
from 1995-1998. She served as assistant conductor of the Lamont
Symphony Orchestra from 1992-1994 while completing her M.A. She
has guest conducted the Bombay Chamber Orchestra of the West, the
Colorado Springs Repertory Orchestra, the Washington D.C. Conservatory
Orchestra, as well as workshop orchestras in the Czech-Republic,
Illinois and South Carolina.
In addition to her conducting, Ms. Vickery has enjoyed professional
success as a flutist. She has performed with the Colorado Ballet
Orchestra, the Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber
Orchestra of the West and the Arapahoe Philharmonic. She is also
teaching privately in her Denver based studio.
Ms. Vickery's formal training from the University of Denver includes
a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and a Masters Degree in Orchestral
Conducting. She has studied conducting with Frank Toth, Marvin Rabin
and Vince LaGuardia. Workshop Master teachers include Paul Vermel,
Larry Newland, Daniel Lewis, Kenneth Kiesker, Alexander Polishtchuk,
Mikhail Kukashkin, Kirk Trevor, Emil Simon, Gunther Schuller, Donald
Portnoy and Victoria Bond.
