Come prepared with the following

Two contrasting pieces, sections of a piece,
or orchestral excerpts of the player's choice.

Two scales of the player's choice
demonstrating range and technique.

Sight-reading.

If accepted, tuition for the 2002-2003 season is:

Boulder Junior Youth Symphony: $325

Chamber Orchestra: $350

Boulder Youth Symphony: $375

The Boulder Youth Symphony Society awards scholarships each season for musicians who successfully audition for one of the orchestras and show financial need.

BYSS would like to emphasize that the scholarship process is completely confidential. At the time of acceptance parents must contact Kathy Stern, BYSS Executive Director at 720.205.3696 or kathy@boulderyouthsymphony.org, and notify her of your intent to apply for a scholarship for the season. You should then submit the following to Kathy Stern as soon as possible for review by the scholarship committee.

Please submit the following:

• Scholarship application form.

• Most recent federal tax return or other proof of current family income.

• A written statement as to why you are applying for a scholarship, including any special circumstances or pertanent information.

You will be notified on a timely basis as to the status of your scholarship request.
